Occasionally I get the urge to try depicting the world without a camera, using nothing but my eyes and brain and hands. Here are some of the results over the last 25 years or so, on paper and more recently using various iDevices.
In 2016 I took another drawing class, this one at the Scottsdale Artists School with Bill Lundquist. His message was very simple: if you just draw the shapes you see, and make sure they line up with each other correctly, the marks you make will end up looking like what's in front of you. This little Zen Brush sketch on the iPhone shows that he was right.
